Thanks for stopping by! I’m Laura Orr, the creator and owner of Eclectic Gatherings. I graduated with a B.S. in Hospitality Management from Penn State.
Over the years, I have seen that the wedding and event industry is too formulaic, pressure to do things a certain way, and lacking in affordability. I want to share the ins and outs of navigating the industry. I love eclectic things and styles, and I like to bring that feeling and boldness to my designs. Eclectic Gatherings was created for people who want something different.
I have been ballroom dancing for 20 years. Dance really transforms people and I love seeing that unfold. I am excited to be able to teach wedding dances to my couples, parents, or guests each unique to their song choice and personality.
My longtime passion in Eastern healing practices, energy work, and Traditional Chinese Medicine eventually grew into my Reiki Practice.
I have been married for 10 years to my wonderful husband, Ryan. Ryan proposed at sunset overlooking the city of Rome during the Christmas season - so Italy will always be a special place to us. We love hiking trails, forest bathing and traveling together. I usually like to finish a book the same day. I’m passionate about living a low-tox, natural lifestyle and caring for my body in simple, intentional ways. I also love a good rom-com movie, curled up with some hot tea.
